Manchester United captain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nemanja-Vidic-c27550 will not be leaving the club in the near future according to his agent.
The Serbian star has become one of the most coveted players on the continent, after establishing himself as the best defender on the planet.
His no-nonsense approach to the game has earned him many admirers and has allowed him to forge an unbreakable partnership with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rio-Ferdinand-c31173 at the heart of the Old Trafford backline.
With his scintillating displays, there has been a lot of interest in the former Spartak Moscow from other sides, but United have so far rebuffed all advances.
However it was revealed that Juventus were reportedly looking to acquire the Serbian International in a bid to improve their squad next season.
Vidic has spent most of the current campaign on the sidelines due to an injury he suffered in the UEFA Champions League against Otelul Galati and while he is out for the rest of the term, he should be raring to go when the new season kicks off.
While speculations regarding his future with the reigning champions have continued to grow, his agent has cooled the rumour mill after reiterating that his client will not be leaving Manchester in the upcoming transfer window.
"Will Vidic move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926? At the moment there is nothing to say on the matter.”
He also added that the centre-back was continuing his rehabilitation at Carrington and was committed to United for the remainder of his contract.
"He has been operated on and he is working to get back on the pitch. At the moment [his situation at Manchester United] is quite good, considering that he has a contract until 2014. So now he is not thinking about the transfer market,” the representative
was quoted as saying.
Alongside the player’s decision to stay, United are keen to retain their skipper and will ward off all other sides with hefty price-tag.
Vidic has blossomed into the world’s most complete central-defender and while he has a number of suitors waiting for him to put pen to paper, the 30-year-old looks likely to remain with the Red Devils and will hopefully be back to his best once the 2012/13
campaign is underway.
