Manchester United’s defender, Nemanja Vidic’s agent has gone on to confirm that the defender will not be making the move to the Italian Serie A to play for Juventus.
The defender has been linked with a move away from the Premier League for a couple of seasons and it seems like the Italian club were the latest team to be linked with a move for the player.
Vidic was previously linked with moves to Real Madrid and AC Milan, but as was the case in those situations, the defender is not looking to move out of the club any time soon.
At the moment, the Serbian defender is recovering from a long term knee injury and won’t be in match fitness till the start of the coming season.
When talking about the defender and his plans for the future, Vidic’s agent is quoted to have said:
"Vidic is still out with a cruciate ligament injury"
"You have to consider that he has a non-EU passport and that would make it difficult for him to arrive in Serie A.”
"I can assure you that I have never spoken with Juventus about Nemanja."
Juventus are currently sitting on top of the Serie A table, with the team possessing a three point lead over AC Milan.
Despite the team doing rather well in the league, they are still looking to build the squad for the future, as they look to try and maintain the form and intent that they have shown this time around.
In order for the team to do so, they are going to have to look elsewhere, since Vidic seems to be off the cards for Juventus at the moment.
On the other hand, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has gone on to show concerns for Vidic and his fitness. The defender is on course to recover in time to make it back for the coming season, but should there be any setbacks in his recovery, he is going to have to sit out
for most of the coming season as well.
Should this prove to be the case, the manager could end up considering letting him leave if a decent offer is made for the centre back.
