The 25 year old has made 25 appearances for his club this season, and has scored six goals
during this period and picked up seven assists.
However, he has only made 8 International appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899, and has scored 2 goals in total.
Vieira, who was a part of the French world cup winning team in 1998, believes that his impressive stint at the Sports Direct Arena is good enough to hand him a place in the national team.
"[Hatem] Ben Arfa deserves to go to the European Championship," he told The Mirror.
“He has very strong claims to go, and you’ve got to say well done to him for coming back to his best after his injuries.”
The French International has been the lynchpin of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew’s side lately, and the Englishman admitted that he was lucky to have him in the team.
“Hatem’s right up there with any player I’ve ever worked with," Pardew said.
The Magpies boss heaped praise on the player’s prowess and ability, and believed that he can prove to be valuable asset for the French manager in the upcoming Euro2012.
“He should definitely have a chance with the French squad. There’s not many players can do the things he does, his work-rate is phenomenal and I’m sure the French manager understands that.” He added.
The 50 year old pointed out that the player has got a wonderful dribbling ability, and good control on the ball to go along with.
Ben Arfa made his last appearance for France in August 2010, in a friendly match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Norway-c2974. He suffered an ankle injury in the earlier part of the season and played his first match of the Premier League campaign against Blackburn in September.
Pardew revealed that the player has worked really hard since making his return from injury and is living up to the club’s expectations.
“People expect him to be special and he’s beginning to produce it."
