Manchester City’s executive, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276 in the January transfer window.
He went on to start off by stating that the team won’t be spending over the top like it has in the past, but this time around they will be looking to bring in only marquee signings.
This could suggest that the team will avoid spending a lot of cash on a lot of players, and instead just spend top dollar on a few selected players.
When asked about the potential capture of Falcao, considering the fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 watched the player play last Sunday, Vieira went on to insist that it would be the manager’s call, over the potential capture of the striker.
The former French international is reported to have said:  “That is the manager's call, you never know, but our philosophy will be to try to bring in young players from the academy.”
He then added: “Clubs like us, United, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 will always try and bring in one exceptional player because that is the way it is, but the majority we want to come from the academy. We are talking about a project over the next 10-15 years.”
Atletico Madrid’s president recently went on to admit that the club did have a number of problems occurring for them in financial terms, which saw him suggest that the team would have no option but to let Falcao leave, should his buyout clause be met.
City are by no means the only team in the hunt for the mercurial striker. The likes of Chelsea and Arsenal have also been pursuing the player rather closely, and both the London clubs are very interested in landing him.
However, with City having ample cash to throw around, they could go on and outbid their opponents in their pursuit for arguably the best striker out there today.
There has been no word from Falcao over the possibility of a move to the Premier League, but should an opportunity present itself to him, the striker is very unlikely to turn it down.
