“If you really want to fight racism, if you really want to show to the world that football wants to fight against it, you will have to use a deduction of points against clubs or kick them out of competition.”

“That will stop it, of course. If you kick a club out of Europe because they couldn't control their fans, it will happen once and I will guarantee it's not going to happen twice.”
Vieira fears that the situation will only get worse if corrective action is not implemented soon enough. The Frenchman is not willing to rule out second chances, but doesn’t feel satisfied with the current situation. He emphasized on the need to toughen
regulatory measures and rules by the authorities.
Former Portuguese international, Luis Figo, believes that racism is just not a problem that exists in football but is a ‘global-ill’. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and Real Madrid star stated:
“It's like everything. In a stadium of so much people, you always find some parts (that) are not so intelligent. I think it's a problem of our society, it's not a problem of only football.”
Several other players have also raised their voice against racism, while the European and domestic football authorities are considering the option of more strict policy towards this dogma.
