I am planning a city break with my girlfriend for August bank holiday. We have narrowed down the choices to Vienna, Prague and Budapest. We cannot decide between them.

Why would you choose and why?

  1. I live in Budapest so of course I would have to say Hungary.

I have heard that although Prague is beautiful, it is very crowded with tourists and people say it is like visiting Disneyland, all hyped up.

Budapest is a bit larger then Prague and we have many spas to visit that are really fun.

I have been to Vienna many years ago, beautiful but a bit cold weather wise. Hungary is warmer then they other countries becasue it sits in a valley . Lake Balaton, is really great, warm blue waters and many nightclubs and restaurants there.

  2. I know a lot of people who have been to Prague and they all think its AMAZING and definately the place to go.

  3. Any of them! Admittedly Prague does get full of tourists, but it's well worth seeing anyway. Vienna's nice too, and I've no complaints about the weather there when I usually visit (which is always the end of August, beginning of September) - usually very warm and sunny, apart from the occasional torrential thunderstorm (I've had those in Prague, too!).
