Vienna opera tickets - where and how can I buy tickets to the opera in Vienna?

Can I get tickets directly at the Opera house, on the day of the show? I'm looking for cheap tickets.

is there a 'half price' ticket shop (similar to the one in London) where you can get tickets at a cheaper rate than directly from the theater.

I think it would be best to call the theater directly and ask about prices.

Last-minute tickets

If tickets are still available for a performance, some of these tickets will be available for purchase only for holders of the bundestheater.at-CARD (max. 4 tickets per CARD and performance) for a flat rate of € 30.- each. Such tickets must be purchased THE DAY BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE from the ticket offices from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 9 a.m.- to 12 noon), or from the box office in arcades (Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday: 9 a.m. to 12 noon).
