  1. Go into Laos whilst in the area

  2. here are some good places to stay below (for only a few euros a night):

  3. Go to Travel Agence, get the travel guide will tell you  properly  everything and everywhere you want to know

  4. I'm going there in August and looked up Hanoi on Yahoo's travel guide. Also try Vietnamese Consulate homepage in UK for tips. You can visit Ho Chi Mins Mauseleum where he is embalmed, the Temple of Literature and the famous lake. (Can't remember name).

  5. The beaches there are nice :]

    Heres some advice:

Dont wear too much jewlery or carry expensice items that can easily be stolen. They might just get stolen.

There are misquitoes in vietnam so you might need repelent :P

  6. We were in Hanoi 2 years ago and loved the city. Don't miss the Water Puppet Theatre, a delightful show. The best place to stay is in the Old Quarter, you are close to everything. A cheap but comfortable hotel is the Hong Ngoc, 39 Hang Bac St .Also a must is a trip to Halong Bay, you can book a tour for a very reasonable cost, that includes 1 night on a boat, all meals and mini bus to Halong bay , from Vega travel practically opposite the hotel.

  7. Pick up the current edition of the Lonely Planet guide to Vietnam. Very useful travel guide written by authors who are well travelled in the region with contributions from recent travellers to the country.
