  1. Apply for US tourist visa at the US embassy. For tourist visa usually is better to have a travel agent apply it for you. After you get the visa, buy the ticket (if she's never been to US, better with tour)

  2. It's definitely possible but might be difficult.

Before a visa or permit given, you have to prove or give reason(s) to the goverment that you will only go for a visit and not trying to 'escape'. Some of the common reasons are:

+ the applicant is too old and only want to see their family member in America b4 they past away - the VN gov't believes that an old person is less likely to be comfortable in a new environment and want to return to the place that they are so used to live out the rest of their live.

+ You have lots of propertly/equity and wouldn't risk losing it all if you won't return.

+ You passed up an opportunity to go to America by sponsorship. ie: your parent sponsord you but you chose not go now, now you want to just visit.

If visa is approve the person can stay for 9 months and can be extended for 1.5 yrs.

  3. Possible, but tough to get visa would say, Has to have property and family back home, Reason I say this is that Philipinos have to do a circus act to get a visa, even after getting married, Often takes longer than a year.

Vietnam does not let Americans visit without visa, so this would also mean that the reverse would be more difficult. Only way to find out is for her to go to travel agent. or Embassy, I don't think we have an Embassy there, except in Hanoi
