  1. I agree with Rick.  Doing research on the internet is a good start.

I helped a friend get a job teaching English in Saigon.  I went with him on several interviews and as a result I have some advice for you.

Be sure to proofread any correspondence you send prospective employers or other people you might network with in getting a job.

I'm not an English teacher but I counted at least 11 spelling, punctuation, or gramatical errors in your question.

When my friend was interviewing the Director of the school took out an English language newspaper, held it up and shouted:  "Garbage!"

Not because of the news in the paper, but because of the spelling and gramatical errors.

If you're looking for work as a translator or interpreter be sure to impress your potential employer in your first correspondence with him (or her).

If English is your first language getting a job as an English teacher is fairly easy.  Get a ESL Certificate from Cambridge and you'll make a living until something better comes along.

    Good Luck!

  2. ...i think that would be, "my english and vietnamese ARE excelent".... just kidding, [ i'm realy not sure whats correct]  good luck on getting a good gig..... but it is deffinatly "i HAVE no degree"...any way i spend lots of time in viet nam and although i know many , MANY viets who speak english i can only think of 1 who consistenly uses proper grammer... i think its much more important  to speak CLEARLY.

  3. Xin Chao, Anh, As you may be aware, The Viet economy is exploding at this time. Intel has begun their $1 Billion plant in Saigon, as well as dozens of other projects.

As far as Brit companies, I see ED&F Man construction signs popping up like mushrooms after a warm rain.

Why don't you google the business papers in Vn. I know the English language ones likeVietnam Economic News and Vn Economic Times. Also, the regular news papers are full of stories about economic expansion.

One last tip is to google Vietnamworks.com. It's a Viet job board and it has hundreds of listings for positions.

    Good Luck !
