Which one are you talking about? Vietnamese vs Vietnamese? Vietnamese vs. the French? Vietnamese vs. the Chinese? Vietnamese vs. South Vietnamese?

If what you're asking is the North Vietnam vs. the South Vietnam, I believe this could date back in the 1954, when millions of people fled the North to come to the South. I'm not sure if you would call this the Vietnamese Revolution. It's more like a civil war.
