If I have 750,000 dong in vietnam, compare that to canadian dollars, How much do i have? 750,000 dong cost me 50.00 canadian, that would not even buy supper at a decent place for 2. Can someone give me some examples of of what you can buy for this much dong in vietnam?

For example, what does an average worker make in a day? or what is the cost of a nice pair of shoes? or how much is a meal at a decent resturant.

  1. that amount of money is worth 55-65 australian dollars. you can buy a lot of things plus you could feed your whole family at a fancy restaurant. i dont know if u know what pho is but you can buy 50 bowls of it in vietnam. last time i went with eight people at this restaurant eating all this seafood, that would be expensive in australia, all for approximately 80 australian dollars and that was a lot of food.

  2. About 50CAD like you said. It's smaller than a salary of an industrial worker in industrial areas (about 70CAD). In the cities, the workers can earn about 150CAD/month.

The living expense is not much, even Vietnam has big inflation recently. A meal cost about 1CAD->3CAD depends on what you'd like to eat. In restaurant, a meal may cost you more, like 4CAD->6CAD for instance.

With 750,000 VND you can buy a lot of clothes, shoes ... For example, a good quality man shirt is about 150,000->250,000 VND (10CAD->16CAD) which you can wear at least in one year ^_^

  3. According to Asia Commercial Bank of Vietnam, CAD is sold at the rate of 15,578 VND/CAD. The correct exchange rate for 750,000 VND is >48 CAD.

With 750,000 VND you can buy about 3 pair of sandals which can be used for at least 4 months or 2 pair of common sport shoes.

This is less than the monthly salary for an industrial worker (~ 1,000,000 VND).

A bowl of phở is about 15,000 VND, while a Combo 1 at KFC costs 50,000 VND.
