  1. love you long time

  2. I would say Chào will do the trick. It's nice to say the whole thing like the girl above me, but seriously... Chào is good enough.

    Thank you is Cám Ơn

    Welcome is Chào mừng

  3. In Vietnamese, they just say "Chào" and then add the word for the addressee.

For example: Chào ông, Chào bà, Chào bác, Chào cậu, Chào cô, Chào dì, Chào anh, Chào chị , etc.

They do not use any words to show the different times of the day like morning, afternoon, or evening as in English.

Thus, for "hello", "good morning" and "good afternoon", they all use the formula as said above. The problem then is how to determine the correct word for the addressee. And it is decided by the ages/gender of the speakers.

E.g. A 10 yrs old child will say to a 60 yrs old man : "Chào ông", but a 55 yrs old woman may address this same man by: "Chào anh"

"Welcome" as in "you're welcome"  can be equivalent to "Không có gì" , and this phrase can be accompanied with a smile.

    Thank you: Cảm ơn

    Hope this willl help.
