Question:

Vietnamese visas?

I just got a Vietnamese visa in Japan, which the official assures me is a "multiple entry" one, but I want to make sure. There's a line on the visa that says "Valid for single/multiple entries". A black line has been put through the word "single". Does that make it multiple? I ask because 3 years ago when I got a single entry visa, there was a line through the word "single" at that time also. Clearly either someone made a mistake or someone is lying. The official assures me this one is legitimately a "multiple" entry visa, but I'd like some confirmation if anyone knows about this. Thanks a lot!

  1. Should be ok but look at the catergory on the top right hand side of the visa, what you dont want to see is C1, a multi-entry 6 month is B3,i am not sure what you have asked for in terms of length of stay, but i know a C1 is a single entry 30days with no line.[hope this helps].If you are really worried add a note to your question saying what catagory and i will check in the morning.

  2. Sure sounds like it to me its okay.  If the official says its okay it is hard to contradict what they say.  Good Luck.  Cheers C

  3. This is a legitimate visa and as I am looking at mine all of the Visas that I have had from Vietnam over the last few years have the Single entry Crossed out.  Some also have 3 x"s over the single entry word but all my Visas have been multiple entry so I am very sure that you have the visa that you wanted.  No worries mate! Have fun in Vietnam.  Stop by my shop if you get into Hoi An.  Randys books.
