I love Vietnamese music.  One of my favorites is Quang Dung although he still lives in Saigon and traveled to the US once in awhile. His Cds are cheaper since it made in Vietnam. If you want to know more, buy some of Thuy Nga Videos to catch up with all the latest songs and Cds. There also several singers who live in the US also came out with lots of CDs. You can find those almost in any Vietnamese shopping malls in the US.

If you don't like slow music then Vietnamese music may not what you want. Most Vietnamese music are slow and romantic. There won't be any violence of curse words in our music. There are also some upbeat songs as well but it's not crazy rock and roll type of music.
