I have a Macbook Pro (Leopard 10.5.4), is there any way I can view how much space each program, file, folder is taking? It says that I've used around 80 gigs of my hard drive, but I have no idea what's taking up the space. Most of the files are in folders, so is there any easy way to view what takes up the space?

  1. Did you try using "du" under the shell ?  that should give you what size are your directories, just start at the root then go upwards the biggest ones.

You must be having some huge files and hope you get to them quick.
