you don't really sign up for it. If someone sends you a text with an image in it and you can't view pic texts because you don't have a plan, then you'll get a "You just got a new picture message. To view it, go to viewmymessage.com and sign in with the login ID: xxxxxx and the password:xxxxxx

every time you get a new pic you get a new login ID and password so you can view that pic.
