  1. Unfortunatley there are not many Viaducts that can be seen from higher Vantage points in the UK.

  2. There is the Ribblehead Viaduct in Yorkshire.  They organise walks across, details and pictures at  www.settle-carlisle.co.uk.    In Scotland there is Glenfinnan Viaduct near Fort William  details and pictures at   en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenfinnan_Viaduct

  3. Well that was set near Huddersfield and close to Slaithwaite. So your views there would be identical!!!

  4. Are you asking for ideas about taking photos OF trains on viaducts or taking photos FROM trains on viaducts?

In the first case you would need a helicopter in order to be higher than the view

In the second, It is quite tricky taking photos from a moving train, ideally you will need manual focus as if you use auto focus the camera will focus on the first thing it sees  -  the  window!  and I'll guarantee it won't be perfectly clean.

If you still want to do the second -

    Durham  (East Coast Main Line)

    Chester-le-Street (ECML)

Quite a few viaducts on Carlisle to Settle but not much to see except countryside

    HTH

  5. You can photograph the Ribblehead Viaduct from the surrounding hills, as you can with Dent Head  Viaduct,  in Cornwall you can photograph Moorswater and St. Germans Viaducts from the farm land adjacent to them.

Come to think of it the majority of railway viaducts are photo-graphical in the way you describe
