No matter how good nice reliable your nanny is , you still feel a pinch

of insecurity leaving your precious one all alone with an outsider.

Anyone thought of or have used nanny cams ? Would love if you can share

your experiences.

  1. I have never used one, but my friend has one. She actually warned potential nannies, during her interviews with them, that she might use one. She wanted them to know ahead of time, so that they had the option of backing out of the job. I thought that was a pretty good idea. For one, it kind of eliminated her concern that she would be violating a person's privacy because she was giving them fair notice. And by stating it right away before she actually hired anyone, it didn't make her feel like she was accusing or offending someone that she already had a relationship with. Plus, if someone had an issue with it because they knew they were going to be bad nanny, they would simply refuse the position.

  2. A nanny camera is a very good investment to secure your house, belongings and most importantly your family. There have been a lot of cases where nannies have been reported to be stealing from employers and harassing their kids. I'm not saying all nannies are bad, but it's always better to be careful at all times. check this out for nanny cameras http://www.video-surveillance-guide.com/...

  3. since im a stay at home mom i dont have a nanny or babysitter, but if i did i would definilty have nanny cam's in every room of the house!!!

you can trust someone all you want, but you just never know. i htink thoes nanny cam's are a great idea!

  4. As a nanny, I don't know that I'd work for someone who didn't trust me.  Having a nanny cam in place - you're saying exactly that, "I don't trust you with my children".  While, yes, in theory - a "good" nanny would still take the job ... not all exceptional nannies would.  You don't have that option if you send them to a daycare center, or any other care provider.  I would say that if you do decide to go with a nanny cam - BE SURE to tell potential candidates that you will have one.  I'd even go as far as to telling them where it's located.

  5. if i had a nanny i would have a nanny cam and i'd tell potential nannies at the interview it was there a good nanny would know she had nothing to hide and still take the job a bad one wouldn't.  i personally would let anyone film me with my daughter all day long cos we only play and laugh and have our food nothing i'm ashamed of, same when i babysit my baby neices so i'd expect the same.
