Question:

Views on Hitler, and why?

Most everyone sees Hitler as an evil person, but I think he was making the world a better place (not saying jews are bad). He was making a world without cultural differences, which means we hae no need to hate people because what they are.

The way Hitler went about making his new world was not a good way, but was necessary to creating the world he dreamed of. The ends will allways justify the means, no matter how horrible. If we sacrifice our well-being to change the world then the next generation won't have to.

  1. I think how he envisioned the world to be a better place was wrong! I personally don't think of him as evil, but I do think he performed acts that were very cruel and inhumane. He caused millions to suffer. He did evil things, but I can't agree that anyone can be labeled as evil. I believe humans have a capacity to do monstrous acts to each other.

Now, I think his version of the world as being without cultural distinction is wrong view. Rather than accepting differences in others, he felt that he needed to control and change people. That to me is wrong. When one doesn't accept and have compassion for differences in others, how can we say that it is a good thing. Being homogeneous doesn't mean humans cease to hate. Rather understanding, compassion, and truth are the means to end hate.

His idea was flawed, and definitely his way of going about it was wrong.

  2. I hate Hitler because he was a  Socialist,

the very embodiment of left wing control freaks relentlessly drawn to social engineering.

His attacks on the Jews as a successful business class is eerily reflected in modern America's left wing attacks on businessmen.   "Let's level that playing field, because any group that's  too successful must be victimizing society"

He also felt that entrance to Universities should be based on race before merit, and doesn't THAT sound familiar?

Still Hitler had his good points.   He was relentlessly patriotic, and dedicated to cheap cars and good highways.

And wouldn't it be nice to see the Liberal left recover those values.

  3. He was most definitely a genius. And as with most geniuses, he was lacking something very important to the average man... a conscience. The way he got an entire nation to follow him down the warpath takes a genius. The way he took over the war from his generals and destroyed his own position, not to mention the mass slaughter of ethnicities (not just Jews), shows that he was quite mentally unbalanced.

  4. I think you are mentally disturb.

Hilter's solution to a better world is to wipe out other races.

This make him a racist and mass murderers. If this is not consider as evil, what do you think is evil ?

  5. Adolf Hitler was nothing short of a raving lunatic who is directly responsible for the deaths of approximately 60 million people....

    That's why!

  6. I've thought the way you do for a long time.  Yes, what Hitler DID was completely wrong.  They way he went about achieving his goal was most certainly evil.  But I think a world in which everyone is the same isa world without divisions of race, class, social standing, etc.  That world would lack the variety that we have now, but it would be a much more harmonious and peaceful world.  The problem is (and this is partly what makes Hitler so vile) how do you decide which race, religion, etc. to 'keep'?  Hitler made a choice and decided that everyone who wasn't pure should be destroyed.  You can't change from a world of such diversity to one without.

  7. Hitler had an ideology of blame.  There was a very bad global recession in the 1930's.  Much unemployment and hardship suffered by the masses.  Hitler was simply the face applied to the only method of capitalist regeneration; global warfare.  Removing a significant number of consumers from a society that functions entirely by exchange, will "not" create jobs.  That was his claim, that's what, a minority actually, chose to believe and the persecution began.  From 1933 to 1939, the political actions of the German fascist party actually made life in Germany considerably worse for nearly all Germans.  By 1939, the economy was ruined, so he started invading other countries, mainly to kill off the unemployed probably.  The global warfare that followed (& 50 million dead) created a great deal of room for expansion for the capitalist system.  Hitler was simply the face applied to that particular instance of capitalist regeneration.  It is unlikely that he died in his bunker at the end of the war.  It is hard to see how you can think anything good of that person's actions.

Your final sentence is also wrong.  Humans will continue to make the same mistakes over and over again.  Infact, we'll do absolutely anything that the TV tells us to do.

  8. god created us all equal and different at the same time. he gave us a wonderful mind so we can make our own choices. we should not have to sacrifice the wonderful melting pot or salad bowl that america has become today for a few ignorant narrowminded individuals. but yes it would be great if people would not hate eachother because they are different. we need to create more tolerance instead of getting rid of all the beaty in difference! p.s. HITLER WAS A CRUEL AND EVIL PERSON! YOU LIVE IN ONE OF HIS DEATH CAMPS AND SEE HOW YOU THINK OF HIM THEN!

  9. If the world doesnt have any cultural differences, it doesnt mean we wouldnt have hate. Im sure humans would find something else segregate themselves. Tolerance of all ideas is crucial in a society but no idea should get automatic acceptance or respect. Its dangerous to have a society that only accepts one way of thought.

  10. I think his actions were a result of the abuse he suffered as a child. I believe his mother was part Jewish (I know someone was). His fury for the Jews came from that.

I always wondered who was more evil Hitler of the people get got to do his work. The doctors definately were evil.

  11. Are you really this ignorant? You have absolutely no clue of what you are saying, do you. I could sit here and give you my views on Hitler and why... but would it really matter? I think when someone supports, agrees, or justifies anything that HItler did, is obviously in the brink of insanity.  Tell you what, let me walk in your house, kill your family, and justify my actions by saying "I just want my neighborhood to be a better place and since I don't agree with your religion, I'm just going to kill you and your family".... hmmm, doesn't sound so honorable, does it?

  12. Interestingly enough i am currently doing two major works on Adolf Hitler. One asks whether Hitler was actually the great dictator the Western world has painted. And my other major work addresses the different views society has on Hitlers sanity and how the view has changed.

But to your question. I  view Hitler as one of the most complex figures in history. He was a totalitarian dictator, but i believe  a weak one at that. He has been represented as a demonic figure who killed millions of inferior beings (Jews, aliens etc). But if people actually took the time to research him they would find he actually never signed the papers for the holocaust. That was in fact Himmler. Hitler of course knew about them, and in a way saw this as a a 'final solution' towards the ultimate Aryan society.

People need to think of where their thoughts of him come from. Its called historiography. The personal, historical and temporal context of the person who they get their information from, whether it be historians, teachers, or the media.

Hitler was no doubt a product of his time, as is everyone, are they not?

His upbringing by an abusive father, his experience in the Great War, the Treaty of Versailles, and the Great Depression had a profound impact it had on the German economy and its people, making the society's anti-Semitic views more notable.

The troubled economy was of course blamed on the Jews, as they owned many of the businesses at the time and were the wealthy class. Of course they would be hated by Hitler, they were seen as the cause of the poor conditions.

I mean, even Henry Ford, the founder of Ford cars, was anti-Semitic. Hitler was not always an extremist anti-Semitic, he did allow the mentally ill after some time to be excepmt from p.o.w. camps as well as some Jewish men (after protests by Jewish women). If Hitler was as evil as made out to be he would not have allowed this. Hence making him a weak totalitarian dictator as he would have just ordered the murders of the protesters.

His hatred for inferior beings is contradictory to some of his actions. And thats why i view Adolf Hitler as a complex figure in history. But no doubt my favourite person in history.

  13. I'll agree that a world without hate is a good thing.  That being said, however, a world without hate cannot be created with hate.  Hitler wanted a homogenous world where everyone was aryan, had his views and his ideals.  The greatest thing about people is that we were all created different.  Different cultures and ideas are what make life rich, as long as we are not taught to hate everything that is different.
