  1. As a team owner,in this  diffcult  time  he should support  his team,   but he was not supporting  dravid & his team. Wining & losing is part of game. Actually in difficult time only, we need support of team, team owner. All  of the fans

I am not agree in it.

  2. The main thing is dravids bad fortunes.past from  year, whatever he is doing is going wrong and is turning into bad controversies. well as a fan of dravid i can just hope and pray for god to get good results for Dravid and his team.

  3. It was purely Mr Vijay Malyas choice, so when he has made a choice he has to accept it and be with the team til the end. its all in the game one has to win and one has lose. no one can predict. His choice was not wrong but its a game win and lose. so cant blame anybody.

  4. He is wrong....................Maybe Charu Sharma is not trustworthy..........but you can't blame Rahul Dravid for the team's bad performance..............He has played some good cricketer even though he is a thorough test player..........Vijay Malya has no knowledge about cricketer he should probably shut his mouth.........................Rahul Dravid is one of the most dependable cricketers in this world.....and that is a fact considering his clean record and his cricketing history....................

  5. Statements such as this one made by Vijay sound unprofessional and shows poor judgment on his part in selecting the franchise.  One would imagine that as a team owner, he would elect his CEO, coach and captain based on their credentials in a limited overs game and trust them on their decisions. Vijay should have kept in touch with his crew after every game with issues such as team selection and other decisions for their success/failure, which I presume he has been doing(or not ??). If he had felt that a member was consistently making mistakes that were not in line with his opinion, he could have fired them.  I think just about anyone familiar with international cricket would have guessed at the beginning of this series that the batting lineup of Challengers was not geared towards a 20/20 approach.

Hopefully, the team would try trading a few players next season and acquire a better set of players.

  6. Fully Agreed.  Rahul Dravid is a traitor and Charu Sharma is a non-cricketing expert who knows nothing about cricket and talks more.

  7. IPL is a business deal squarely to harvest profit--that  is the sole interest of the owners of each team.If V.M made a mistake, his business interest shall lose.Rahul Dravid and others are mere  workers..Blaming others is not V.m.style.BETTER LUCK  NEXT TIME.

  8. Vijay Malya made fool of himself by first selecting Dravid , second entrusting him the selection process. This raises question about his business capability..!!!

  9. Malaya should understand that this is not about manufacturing beer and making money out of it. He should respect the experts from the field. He has go no right to question RAhul Dravid or Charusharma. Cricket is no business. Malaya should rather cobnccentrate on his business..

  10. It is a choice of Professionals, as he/she has to have a fighting spirit and it should also reflect in Ground. The fighting image of the team under Dravid in  not visible, the body language suggest so.A Martyr is remebered for his endeavour to fight till END.

Why do Cricketers do advertising, for Money off course,Mr.Malya has put in Hard earned Money for returns, not for charity. Please remember Mr.Malya is the One who bought TIPU SULTAN sword in auction to safeguard and give respect to National Pride and heritage.

His discontent with Dravid and Charu Sharma is absolutely correct.Either you perform or call it a day before the Day calls You.

  11. Absolutely "NO". The whole of India had backed on Rahul Dravid to lead the team India and he was successful. T20 is a game just introduced and no team seems to be No 1. Its a game of more tactics which has to be learnt and the players are in the process of learning. Its more of a sophisticated street cricket than a stroke play 5 day or a 50 over match. So all I request Mr. Malya to involve more in the selection also (if he finds time) and allow them to get trained. Karnataka has given India some of the best players in the cricketing history. They will come back with a stronger arm in future.....A.R. Devi Prasad

  12. hehehe,, this was the most hilarious controversy i hv ever heard.this actually show the domination of inexperience.Everybody in the whole country knows who's Rahul Dravid and what he had proved  in past. then why Mr. Mallya didn't understood that.I guess he didn't watch much of a cricket thats why he didn't understood that they need Xtreme Xplosives in this game. but landed up in buying old Firecrackers and now blaming others. Now this kind of act actually shows the thought process of Mr.Mallya that he very late to understand that this business.

my conclusion to this whole event is that, if u don't know anything then keep a good hush. else you will end up in insulting your own self.

  13. Winning and losing is a part of game and one should'nt be  put down totally during loss and should'nt be flagged high when won. As a owner, he should support his team during difficulties and talk to them to analyse the issue, instead of spending time on sacking and making such statements which still worsens the situation. On the other hand, Rahul & Charu have to understand that this is not Vijay's intentions to put the team down, but showing his anger in the form of  statements which is very common with any owner when he spends such a big money without any fruits.. So Vijay & Rahul have to make some quick decisions to stregthen the team to not lose the remaining ones.

  14. I AM NOT AGREE WITH MR. MALYA'S STATEMENT BCOZ DRAVID IS ICON PLAYER OF OUR INDIAN CRICKET TEAM AND WHEN MR. MALYA SET HIS TEAM FOR IPL T20 HE SHOULD AWARE OF IT ,THAT HIS TEAM WOULD BE SUITABLE FOR IPL T20 OR NOT.BCOZ HE IS A TEAM OWNER.THAT WAS HIS MISTAKE.

  15. yes, vijay Malya did a very very big mistake of trusting on Rahul Dravid. He take only wrong Decision. Mr malya u have to be look back of rahul ODI history.

  16. Well he made his choice and he should stick to it and support them until the tounament is over instead of sacking people and causing the morale of the team to dip even lower.

  17. team ella correctage ide adre yaaru avara reputation thakkanthe aata adthill aade problem. Kohli koi thara adthane, dravid mathe kallis hodyo shots inner circle kooda dhatolla. kumble thagoli six hodiri antha bowl madthane. che yaaru sariyagi adthilla.

  18. Vijay Mallya!!!!!!!!! such a huge personality, He did not by chance started Kingfisher, he had made so many ground works before starting the firm, obviously in support of his team. This is where I am shocked to see how he could select such a team for bangalore, comparing other teams.  there are only two reasons for the failure, one mr. vijay does not know much about cricket or he must have not done his homework.

I think this is not his right job, he should stick to his area of expertise.

  19. Hi

of cos its a test quad.this is a game of 20 overs.

selection should be done on basis of the players strike rate in the one day matches.

missed utthappa big mistake & there were bangaldesi players had very good strike rate in 20 20 game .

    lack of captainship & openers.

  20. No..... I din't agree with Vijay Malya Statement.

How can he blame dravid. Dravid is a Wall of Indian Team.

He managed to win all the match. But he cound't do it. I agreed with dravid, he was played with full efforts. but players are not good.

and This is not a business, this is cricket Vijay Mallya should know it..........

  21. Vijay Malay should blame non other than himself- because when Malay selected Dravid (worst captain india ever produced) as captain, the worst decision taken by one franchisee, he lost his half Battle. Mr. Malay this your selection which destroyed the fate of Bangalore team.

  22. Well I totally agree with Malya, Dravid and Charu has choosen test team  player like Kumble , Kalis ,Jaffer and Dravid himself who hasnt been chossen for their country in T20 worldcup, Another thning Dravid is not rotating player properly like P kumar he is big hitter as good as Yousuf Pathan but only once he has given him chance in upper order...........

Other thing Cameron White is very good bowler also but Dravid hasnt gave him bowl in all matches when he played.

If i were Bangalore Captain i choose following playing -11 as per batting order.

    1. P Kumar

    2. Shreevats Goswami(Wicket Keeper, did well in U-19)

    3. Cameron White

    4. Misbah-ul-Haq

    5.  Dravid

    6.  Virat Kohli

    7. Chippli

    8. Zaheer

    9. Styen

    10. Kumble

    11. Bracken

If Bracken is not fit , he can be replace by Kalis and Chippli by Vinay Kumar to make bowling strong.

What do you think guys about this Playing XI for Bangaluru.

  23. He never spent enough on a good team. So he is to blame.

He also knew Dravid's background and career path. So VM is to blame and NOT Charu or R Dravid.

In contrast, SRK says they must win. But after they lost the 1st match, he had a party, and gifted everyone a Laptop.

What a great difference between the two.

  24. I am surprised seeing Mallya coming with these excuses. Being a successful businessman, one should hold one's own acountability to one's failure just as one takes credits for success.

Vijay is naive in cricket arena and will learn and improve with time. But he should spare the greats like Rahul from blame game.

    onkar

  25. Well,Mallya has put his money where his mouth is and hence  entitled to his observation. However feelings do not necessarily reveal the facts especially after the horses have bolted from the stable..20-20 calls for aggressive leadership and Rahul is at best a conservative leader unlike a Warn,Yuvraj,Viru or MSD.Even as his side remains at the bottom Rahul is unwilling to think out of the box. After the departure of Ross Taylor from the top he should have moved Boucher to open or no.3 slot to keep the momentum going during the first 6 overs..The time has come for him to step down gracefully from the helm and allow Kumble to lead and salvage the situation for the remaining games. All things being equal a Captain is only as good as his team.

  26. no, i am not agree with him. because he is a man who has the right to select right to his team. he should able to select which one he want. malya is sending wrong statement about the rahul and charu sharma.

  27. I dont agree with him.....   u cant blame Rahul for the defeats....he tried his best.....he was one of the most successful indian test captians....and all credit Ganguly is getting only because of the consistent performance by Rahul as his deputy.....but luck was not in his side during IPL matches......he lost 2 or 3 close games which could hv won by either side.....  and the South Africans both Kallis and Steyn were not in form....hard luck....having said so i also dont understand why misab-ul-haq was not included in playing eleven in earlier matches and why sunil joshi was persisted with.....

  28. Vijay malaya is terribly wrong with his comment. The team selected by Rahul and Charu is noteworthy, but they lack adapting to the 20-20 format and present Indian condition.

  29. i dont think vijay mallya was right in giving such a statement,

the selection of the team was over long back, why is he blaming dravid n charu sharma now! for sympathy??, unity is strenght, anyone can support a team which is winning , but very few support a team which is losing, if he was a true gentleman he should have shut his mouth, i agree that he has invested lots of money , but money is not everything, people do matter,

we the people of bangalore proudly say that we support royal challengers for their sporstmanship, and a true warrior in the name of Rahul Dravid.

    Go RCB......Go Rahul......

  30. Vijay Malya is a bad loser.  he has also invested in F-1 race and has Fishichella . Does he expect to win ? People are simply after rahul when his luck has deserted him for quite some time. Does any one remember that Dhoni  failed in all the three innings he played at last world cup and was one of  the main reasons for the debacle.  People who call Rahul a Test player remember that rahul has scored one of the fastest fifty by an Indian (( against New Zealand in 22 balls) and just last year in England scored 90+ in 60+ balls!  He has not performed  badly with the bat. It is a collective failure of the team. it was Malya who failed to bid for Robin  and allowed him to go the Mumbai. Why blame Rahul  now. White was the highest scorer in T0-20 till IPL bu has failed to click. Just the other day Chandrapaul won a match with a last ball six and he is failure so far. Where shane warne, Vettori have succeeded Kumble  has last his line .All this happens in cricket. IPL is not one year wonder. It takes a long time to build  a team. If you don't  want Karnataka players  and only want imported cricketers then Malya better go to some other state and try your luck. Players like chipli , Patil  and others are hardly in their first year in first class cricket. It takes time to groom them

  31. What Vijay Mallya said is very true. Wasim Jaffer is not even in the ODI squad. Rahul dravid, Kallis and Kumble are too old for IPL and ar good only for test cricket. It is clear that he made a mistake intrusting Rahul and Charu.
