Viking Warrior favourite for Trafford Centre High Heels Competition Handicap
Viking Warrior is tipped to win the Trafford Centre High Heels Competition Handicap at Chester in England on Friday, June 29, 2012. The winner of the class-5 race will be awarded a cash prize of £4,043.
Speed will play an important part in determining the winner of the 7 furlong 122 yard event, which is scheduled to start at 21:00 GMT. There will be 17 competitors up against each other, but the good track conditions will suit Viking Warrior more than anyone
else.
The five-year-old gelding will be carrying the maximum weight in the race, which might work against him in the end. However, he is a quality performer and has the ability to finish on top, if he gets a clear run.
The Michael Dods’ trainee has got some useful experience, as he has participated in 21 races. His performances have not been bad, as he has managed to win four times whereas finished runner up on the same number of times. In addition to that, he has secured
the third spot thrice, which shows that he is quite capable of fighting at the front.
Halling’s son out of Powder Paint made his debut in May 2010, but was unable to make a big impression at the start of his career. However, he improved his performances afterwards and started delivering some decent results.
Viking Warrior brought up his maiden victory in August 2010. He was rated as the favourite to win back then and did not disappoint the bookies at all. Since then, he has been doing a decent job and his recent form has also been good.
In his most recent outing, the Transpennine Partnership’s owned gelding performed really well and brought up his fourth victory. He was given the best odds by the bookmakers and triumphed by one length. He will be partnered by Lee Topliss, who has not won
with consistency in his career.
However, the bookies believe that the victory will belong to Hayek, despite the fact that he has got a poor winning percentage. Out of his 25 appearances, he has managed to win just once. This will not make it easy for him to get the attention of the bettors
today.
