It's true Aaron Rodgers isn't experienced but it's not like he's completely clueless out there either.  McCarthy is an intelligent coach and won't set A Rod up for failure, but he'll give him high percentage throws to get him in a rhythm as well as giving the Vikings a heavy dose of Ryan Grant to get Grant and the OL in the zone.  The Packers D hasn't been too consistent in the preseason but all the injuries with the starting players this is expected.  When the starters come back, the defense will be just fine.  

The Vikings on the other had does have a  monster of a running back in Adrian Peterson but he can only do so much before he'll tire and not be as effective.  They need Jackson to really step up and make some throws so the Packers D won't be looking for run all the time.  This will really help them.  If Jackson can become more consistent with the throwing game this season, watch out.  I also believe their D to be decent but the Packer's defense might be slightly better.  

With all that said, what better way to kick off the regular season on Monday Night Football than at Lambeau Field?  These two teams seem to bring out the best in each other and I don't expect to be disappointed.  They're both evenly matched but I think the difference in the game will be the play at QB for both teams.  Look for a great game and an exciting new season.

Packers will win 24-21. Will be a close one, but you people have to remember that Minnesota's defense gave up the MOST passing yards out of any team last year. Jared Allen wont be much of a factor in week 1 because he is going up against the greatest pass blocking OT in the league-- Chad Clifton. Packers have a young team, and even if Rodgers doesn't do great week 1, they have a good enough surrounding cast to edge this one out..
