Look I now everyone think Tarvaris Jackson sucks but he really doesn't. In the pre season he went 8 of 11 and 7 of 11 for two touchdowns and no interceptions and was against the Seahawks and Ravens defenses. Peterson and Taylor are the best tag team in the NFL and with the best offensive line too. New Bernard Berrian is a deep threat with still an ability to catch and Rice is just beast who can jump over everyone. With New Jared Allen and the Williams brothers our line is secure. EJ Henderson is the most underrated player in the league and Chad Greenway is a rising star. Winfield was hurt last year and thats the reason our pass defense sucked. Winfield is back now, With interception leader Darren Sharper. Also with Madeau Williams and a decent Cedric Griffin and Ryan Longwell remains one of the most accurate kickers in the league. Aaron Rodgers is still young and is injury prone and Packers have no backups. Lions have no defense and Bears just suck. Please explain your answer.

  1. I agree with you 100%! Go Vikes!!

  2. I'm a Jags fan, but in the NFC, the Vikings has created one He** of a team, Just gotta keep Jackson, Peterson and Taylor healthy and they will be in the playoffs, and Division Champs. Something to watch.

  3. GREAT GREAT GREAT !! This is MN's YEAR! And they are going to win the division, conference, and SUPER BOWL (hopefully on the last one)!!! But the only thing I wanna say is, we have to watch the Pack and Bears. They are going to be competition, not just layovers. CHI's D will be healthy and they are smart enough to not really put the game into their QB's hands. And GB they are a good team all around. Aaron will struggle early and probably late too, but he is a good QB and will get them some wins. MN has to take care of it's division to get into the playoffs and we will get it done. Go T-Jack!! Best D-line, best O-line, BEST RB tandem. TOP 3 LB core and when M Williams get back at least top 5 Safeties Duo. MN is that SQUAD!!!

  4. vikings suck

  5. The Pack are much better then all you think mainly because they are pretty much the same team with the exception of Rodgers. If the Vikings can get far with Jackson, then the Packers can with Rodgers. One player leaving doesn't mean the whole team sucks. The Pack are stock full of talent.

and Rodgers injury prone? Last time I checked, Jackson missed 4 games last season with minor injuries.

The Pack have a strong running game and a decent offensive line and not to mention a excellent WR core with Driver, the up and coming star Greg Jennings and James Jones. ($40 million for Berrian whom never has had a 1,000 yard season before?)

The DTs for us is a big question mark but Kampman is just as good as Allen. The linebacker core is also very good with Nick Barnett, who is more underrated then Henderson, leading the way. The CBs of Woodson and Harris still have a lot left in them but the age is a concern.

So overall, it's going to be a drag race between the Vikes and Packers

BTW-The Vikings O-line is great at run blocking but bad at pass blocking. Just because they only good at them doesn't make them one of the best and plus McKinnie is bound to get suspended so all that leaves you is Hutchinson and Birk. and also, the Vikes LB core is not even close to top 3.

  6. Trust me, this is going to be a two-horse race.  The Vikings and the Bears.

No Packers, you may be wondering.  That is correct. The Packers will not be there this year because, obviously, Brett Favre is gone and the pressure will be too great on young Aaron Rogers.  Also, Ryan Grant has not practiced most of the preseason and it is hard to get into game shape without taking a beating in training camp.

The Lions?  They have a great offense that includes Roy Williams and MegaTron Johnson, but their defense and special teams are not up to snuff.

Lets move on to the Bears and the Vikes.

The Vikes are a h**l of a team.  There is one issue looming.  Word is McKinnie may be suspended for the first four weeks.  This causes numerous problems.  One, remember last December.  Exactly, A.P. decided to return to earth last December instead of running like the freak he is.  If you remove the teams best offensive lineman, that hurts the entire running game.  The other issue, McKinnie just happens to be the blind side tackle for Tavaris Jackson.  Jackson is bad enough with good protection, now his starting LT is gone.  Not good.

Throw in the fact that Bernard Berrian only played 3 offensive possessions in the first half and there is reason to worry.

Dont get me wrong, the Vikings have the best defensive line in football and will pressure QB's and RB's all year long.  However, Sharper is another year older, how long can he play at a high rate?

Lets move on to the Bears.  No need to even discuss that pathetic offense.  If you removed Greg Olsen and Devin Hester, there wouldnt be a trace of a professional out there.

The Defense this preseason has been pathetic.  They claim that it was all base stuff, but regardless, you have to stop the 49ers and Browns.

The Bears live and die off of field position and special teams.  Hester, Gould and Maynard are the best threesome in the league.

Long story short, it will come down to the wire and the Vikings will be the 2008 North Division Champs.

  7. I think wild card.  They have an excellent running game and a great defense.  If jackson doesn't turn it over they will go far.  He has the weapons around him to be solid!

  8. They should win it, but they'll have to win their last game against the Giants to secure the division over Detriot.

MIN should finish 10-6 and DET 9-7.

GB and CHI aren't even contenders this year.

  9. easy division win for them! Lions in 2nd, Packers in 3rd, and surprise, surprise Bears in last!

  10. winning division....the pack is not going to win...bears haha...and lions??...come on vikes are the best in that division

  11. If they can keep healthy the secondary, the O-line and the QB they WILL win the division. But that´s a big IF.
