The Barcelona boss has stated that his players will not be moving in junk to the Bavarian outfit following Pep Guardiola’s appointment as Bayern’s head coach.
In what came as a surprise move in mid season, German giants Bayern Munich appointed, much sought after coaching prodigy Pep Guardiola, as their head coach a few days back. The decision was seen as one to be a controversial one as Guardiola had earlier indicated
that he was taking a break from the game and will not be returning to any coaching commitments at a club for at least one year.
However now, the former Barcelona manager has signed a contract with the German giants and is set to take on the reins of one of the most prolific football clubs in the entire world.
Guardiola had spent a massively successful 4 year stint with his former club Barcelona after taking over the hot seat from Dutchman Frank Rijkaard. to the Camp Nou outfit.
Bayern have now appointed the talented coach as their manager and have set their sights on the prestigious European crown.
Guardiola’s C.V. certainly boasts a beautiful trophy winning haul, especially when it comes to Champions League success and many reports have surfaced, linking a number of Barcelona stars to sign for the Allianz Arena outfit, as Guardiola tries to impose
his style of total football at the German club.
However, the current Barcelona manager, Tito Vilanova, has stated that he will do his utmost to keep Guardiola from attracting players away from the Camp Nou side, in order to boost his chances of winning the Champions League.
“I'm not worried that some players want to go to Guardiola's Bayern. I'm not worried, they have contracts," Vilanova told reporters.
“It's great news for the Bundesliga. They are one of the great teams that Pep could have gone to. He will help German football a lot. The best coach in the world has to be coaching, and next season he will.”
“Pep has a method of coaching, like all the coaches that have come through at Barca. He doesn't necessarily have to give that up."
