The legendary Dutchman has refused to pass his judgement regarding the newly appointed Barca trainer, remarking that it is too early to analyze the performance of the Catalan tactician.
Former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 player/manager, Johan Cruyff, expressed that it is not yet the time to draw any judgements regarding the current performance of Barcelona head coach, Tito Vilanova. He asserted that the current La Blaugrana manager is doing very well, however,
it is too soon to conclude whether he has succeeded or failed.
According to the former Ballon d’Or winner, Vilanova can only be judged when he rescues the Catalan giants from a difficult situation. He argued that a manager’s resolve can only be tested when his team struggles. Therefore, he stressed that the trainer
will be properly evaluated once things go wrong at the Nou Camp.
"Everything is going great for him now, just as we all expected," Cruyff was quoted as saying by The Daily Mail.
"He knew the players, he knows the club very well, he helped Guardiola and was a part of a successful management team.
“But now is not the time to judge him as a coach. The time to judge him is when something goes wrong; when things don’t work out, when there is a crisis. That’s when you know if the coach is capable."
Considering the fact that Vilanova took over the club from Pep Guardiola, he surely has huge void to fill. Nevertheless, Cruyff maintained that La Azulgrana are performing quite well at the moment and have experienced an ideal start to the new season’s Spanish
La Liga campaign.
The reigning FIFA Club World Cup and Copa del Rey champions have managed to remain unbeaten in the new season so far. In addition to this, all of their matches have ended in a victory except for a draw against Real Madrid at the Nou Camp earlier this month.
At the moment, the winners of last year’s Copa del Rey are enjoying top spot in the Spanish Primera Division’s league standings. They are joined at the top by Atletico Madrid. Both football clubs have been able to gather 22 points in the season so far.
