Barcelona won their fifth game in the Spanish La Liga and Tito Vilanova believes that even though they found it hard to beat Granada, they have still bagged all three points.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 faced Granada over the weekend and while many thought that the Catalan giants will be able to secure all three points with ease, it was exactly the opposite when the two sides faced each other at the Nou Camp.
La Blaugrana took 87 minutes to score the first goal of the game while later it was an own goal from the Granada defender which took the score-line out of reach for the visiting team.
After securing the win against Granada, Barcelona now boast a perfect record in the Primera Division, winning all their five games in the league.
The Catalan giants have now beaten the likes of Real Sociedad, Osasuna, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863, Getafe and Granada, teams which have already faced Real Madrid in the league and have given them a tough time.
Real Madrid have only managed to accumulate four points from the available twelve and will be taking on Rayo Vallecano on Monday.
Barcelona, however, have managed to take all fifteen points from the available fifteen and have not lost or drawn a single game in the league.
However, the game against Granada was a tough one and while speaking about the difficulties his side has faced, Tito Vilanova said:
“We had to take risks as if we had lost we were losing the point we held at the time and I wanted all three.”
“It possibly cost us a little in other areas but on the other hand you can wear teams down and they end up paying.”
“If we look at other years we can see that September is always a little hard, so it’s important we have reached 15 points.”
Barcelona are currently at the top of the table, and have also managed to impress during the UEFA Champions League as they won their first group stage fixture against Spartak Moscow with the final score-line 3-2.
The Catalan giants will now be facing Sevilla over the next weekend and while talking about the game against Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano, Tito Vilanova said that he will not be watching it, saying:
“I’m going to make paella, go the cinema and rest. I’m sure somebody will send me a message.”
