stressing over the fact that Villa is not the happiest player in the Camp Nou.
After so many rumours, David Villa finally stepped up to accept the fact that he is feeling important in his currently club.
Villa, who is considered to be the best striker in the history of Spanish football, has recently stressed over the fact that he is feeling important in Barcelona despite all the criticism from the outside.
Villa claimed that he has the backing which is require; i.e. of his players and his coach. He also accepted that he is currently very happy at the Nou camp and the team makes him feel important.
Villa is not in the best of goal scoring forms this season. He has not managed to score as many goals as he was scoring last season. Therefore, many fans are criticizing him and don’t back him to be a first choice left winger at the club.
However, Villa is currently not worries about the media and what is being said around the globe. Villa was quoted saying:
"I feel important, and even more so when the coach speaks well of me. I don't give any importance to what is said outside the club.”
While speaking about the fact that he is not worried about what the press has to say, he said:
"I don't have to be worried about all of this, it's all the same to me. I work so that the coach, my colleagues, the fans, and my family, are happy, and that's the case.”
Villa also told the press how he is happy with his colleagues and how the fans have always supported him no matter what. He said:
"I've always had the affection of team-mates and especially the public. I noticed it since the day I arrived."
David Villa is not in the best of goal scoring forms for the Spanish Champions. The Spaniard has only managed to score five goals in fourteen Spanish La Liga appearances this season.
