Villarreal’s versatile midfielder, Borja Valero, is expected to make an exit from the Spanish outfit at the end of this term as his agent, Alejandro Camano, has opened the gates for SSC Napoli to make a move for the midfielder.
Valero joined the Spanish outfit from West Bromwich Albion in the summers of 2010. The midfielder has taken over the midfield since then and has become one of the most influential players for the Yellow Submarines. In 29 appearances for the outfit, the player
has added fire power to the attack and also strengthened the defensive lines. Valero has scored 3 crucial goals for the outfit that has propelled the team into fourth spot in the league table. With the season drawing to a close, the Yellow Submarines are eyeing
a UEFA Champions League berth.
The Serie A giants are looking to table an offer for the influential central midfielder in the upcoming summer transfer window. Camano has admitted the news to be true and revealed that the midfielder likes Serie A.
“Borja has already said that he really likes Napoli and Italian football. However, there hasn't been any contact yet. We're waiting for [sporting director Riccardo] Bigon to make a move. Valero is one of the best midfielders around in La Liga. He wants to
focus on winning the Europa League. We'll talk about an eventual transfer at the end of the season.” Camano said.
Napoli are currently second in the Italian top flight, giving AC Milan a tough time in the Scudetto race. Napoli, after a series of downfalls in the recent history, have finally found their winning form. The Partenopei are looking forward to invest in the
summer transfer window in order to add more strength to their midfield. The team is happy with the attack led by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955 and adding depth to the midfield would prove fruitful in the upcoming 2011/12 season.
