El Madrigal based outfit http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Villarreal-CF-c40899 have officially confirmed that Jose Francisco Molina will coach the Yellow Submarine until the end of the 2011/12 season.

Several high profile coaches were linked with Villarreal, former Lyon coach Claude Puel being one of the overlooked candidates. However, the club’s hierarchy decided to promote from the inside.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-c13609 Roig ratified his employment as Garrido’s successor due to his fundamental knowledge of the club.
Molina joins the Villarreal bench after a long and successful career as a professional goalkeeper. The 41-year old joined the Yellow Submarine coaching staff two seasons ago, taking the reins of the C team.
The former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper led the outfit to fourth position in Division III, earning promotion to Segunda Division B.
The following season saw Molina promoted to Villarreal. He was on the bench for the last four match days, but could not help the reserve team in their relegation battle; the club got demoted following their 18th placed finish.
Jose Francisco comes to the helm of the Yellow Submarine following Juan http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Garrido's sacking. The manager was relieved of his duties in the wake of their unimpressive performances in La Liga.
Garrido was ineffective in propelling his team to a higher league standing. After a successful showing in the previous campaign, where they finished 4th, Villarreal have been off colour this season.
The Yellow Submarine are hovering above relegation slots in 17th place, just above Sporting Gijon with a better goal difference. Their performances in UEFA Champions League were emabaressing to say the least, as they posted the worst record by
a Spanish team in the competition's history.
However, the final straw was their Copa del Rey dismissal at the hands of Segunda Division B outfit, Mirandes.
Villarreal administrators thanked Garrido for his efforts as they parted company in an official press release. Intricate details of the decision were not released.
With Molina taking over the first team duties, Valladolid Velázquez will make the step up from Villarreal C coaching duties.
