Villarreal manager Juan Carlos Garrido has applauded Bayern Munich on their victory away from home. He was talking after his side’s 2-0 loss at the hands of the Bavarians in a match played on Wednesday, September 14, at El Madrigal.
In what was an easy win for the German giants, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toni-Kroos-c35425 and Rafinha registered their names on the score sheet.
Garrido was all praise for the opposition after the game, who were dominant for most part of the 90 minutes. He admitted about the lack of intensity shown by his team which allowed the visitors to play with confidence despite being away from home. The manager
criticized his midfield for leaving too much space in the middle.
Villarreal were tipped to give a hard time to the former German champions but the script went completely against the home side. They were put under pressure as early as the seventh minute and found no way out until the end. Garrido also reserved praise for
his counterpart, Jupp Heynckes, who adapted a more professional approach.
The Yellow Submarine tactician is already feeling the pressure as his team are rooted to the bottom of the group, after Manchester City and Napoli received a point apiece after playing out a 1-1 draw.
While talking to the reporters after the game, the tactician enthused: "Coming so quickly it affected us physically, tactically and psychologically. We committed two errors and then they scored straight from it. Bayern were more comfortable in possession
and had too much space.”
“We tried to get back into the game but then with the second goal there was no way back and we are left with the impression they were a lot better although I do not believe it was the case."
