Villarreal striker Nilmar dreams of playing for Barcelona one day
Villarreal’s Brazilian striker, Nilmar has expressed his desire to play for Barcelona some time in his career. He said that playing in a Barcelona shirt would be a dream come true for him and rated the Catalan club and Real Madrid
as the best clubs in the world.
Nilmar revealed his Barcelona dream after speculation that the Spanish giants are after him. The striker’s performances have been overshadowed by the brilliance of Giuseppe Rossi this season and there are rumours that the former
Lyon forward could be on his way at the end of the season.
“It would be a dream come true to play for a big team like Barcelona. Barca and Real Madrid are the biggest clubs in the world and it would be great to wear the jersey of Barcelona at one point in my career,” the Brazilian was
quoted as saying.
The Yellow Submarine forward added that he is eager to join a big club some time in his career and if the opportunity arises, he would love to make a move to the Catalan giants. But he stated that he has a contract with Villarreal
currently and he is happy with his present club.
“You never know what will happen in the future and I'm eager to join a bigger club one day. Nevertheless, I have an ongoing contract with Villarreal and I'm feeling very well at the club,” concluded the Brazilian.

Villarreal sit in third place in the Spanish La Liga standings with a total of 54 points and are 24 points behind the leaders Barcelona. The Castellon side have also reached the quarter-final of the UEFA Europa League which is
surely their last chance for silverware this season.
The Yellow Submarine face a tough test as they play home to La Liga champions, Barcelona, in their next Spanish League fixture at the El Madrigal on Saturday.
