Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has laid rest to reports claiming that striker Jermain Defoe will move to Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 in January to join his former manager Harry Redknapp, and said that the player is as good as Radamel Falcao.
The Portuguese told his predecessor to forget about signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jermain-Defoe-c18359 in the winter transfer window, and stressed that the striker remains a major part of his plans for the club.
Harry Redknapp was appointed QPR manager last week following Mark Hughes’ sacking. The Englishman arrived to take charge after QPR failed to win secure a win in all of their 14 Premier League games. A winless QPR lies at 20th place on the league
table with 5 points from 14 games.

that the Hoops have not done well in the league.
Mark Hughes was relieved of his duties last week, and Redknapp was brought in to save the club from relegation. The former Portsmouth and Tottenham boss led the team to a 0-0 draw against Sunderland in his first game in charge since arriving.
QPR have scored the lowest number of goals in the league, scoring only 10 in their 14 Premier League games. Redknapp was keen to admit this and revealed that he will sign a striker during the January transfer window. This led to links with Defoe, who is
considered an option for Redknapp.
Villas-Boas insists that Defoe is not leaving the club, and remains their most important player after scoring 10 goals in all competitions. Speaking to reporters, he said:
“That’s not possible. It’s absolutely impossible; we have the belief in him.”
Villas-Boas admitted that Defoe is one of the best strikers he has worked with, and compared him with Atletico Madrid’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276. The manager added:
“I certainly put him alongside Falcao. His hunger for goal is extreme. That makes things easier for you to work with because you don’t have to teach a lot. He smells every cross and when the opportunity is there to tap it in."
