Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas admits that star winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 might be sold to Real Madrid next season.
The 23-year old outshone everyone last night in the 2-1 victory over Liverpool at White Hart Lane. Bale set up Spurs’ opening goal and then fired home a free-kick in the first half to extend the home side’s lead.
Bale had an impressive first half. He ran down the left wing, leaving three http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aaron-Lennon-c3062 to tap in.
His second goal had a bit of fortune about it as it deflected off the Liverpool wall before going in goal past the helpless http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-Reina-c29672. The Welshman was clearly the man of the match as he put in a tremendous first half performance.
Bale faded towards the end of the game, and was booked for what referee Phil Dowd deemed to be an act of simulation. The player however claimed after the game that he was clipped by Liverpool defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Agger-c9884 and denied diving.
Bale also scored an own goal in the second half as Aaron Lennon made a goal-line clearance which hit the winger’s face and went back in goal.
Despite this, the Welsh starlet had an impressive game, and was delighted to have seen his team go back to winning ways.
Villas-Boas was full of praise for the player, but refused to rule out a possible summer transfer to Spanish giants Real Madrid next season. The Portuguese admitted that it will be difficult keeping potential suitors off the player’s tail and revealed that
Spurs will be forced to sell him if a handsome offer is made.
Speaking to reporters, he said:
“At the moment he is performing extremely well for Spurs and we are amazed at what he can do for us. He is on to a great career.”
“Obviously as a football club want to keep him here, but we understand players like this have propositions and a market which is the nature of the game.”
The Portuguese then compared Bale to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 after many noticed Bale’s free kick technique last night and added:
“Players learn through what they see. With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 we saw that you can almost hit under the ball and it gains an effect where it drops and changes direction. Bale has the power to do that and he keeps on practicing it.”
