Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas is delighted with his team’s winning run of 4 games in the Premier League as he eyes a 5th victory next week against his former employers Chelsea.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and Porto manager revealed his pleasure and delight over his team’s fine run in the league, but was quick to not get ahead of himself.
The boss also spoke about the goalkeeper situation at the club, as he made a surprise decision to start summer signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hugo-Lloris-c16408 in goal. The manager ended current first choice keeper Brad Friedel’s run of 310 consecutive Premier League starts as he started
the Frenchman against Aston Villa last night.
Villas-Boas’ decision was vindicated as Lloris kept a clean sheet and Tottenham cruised to a 2-0 victory courtesy of goals from Steven Caulker and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aaron-Lennon-c3062. The manager however refused to comment on who would start in goal in next week’s mouth watering
clash against Chelsea.
Spurs remain unbeaten in 4 league games as they jump to the 5th spot, much to the delight of the manager who had to endure pressure and criticism after failing to win the three opening games. Villas-Boas is now further looking to silence his doubters
with a win over his former employers Chelsea, as he looks to prove his worth in the Premier League.
The manager was sacked by Chelsea after a brief spell at Stamford Bridge, and a victory against the Blues will be personal for him. Speaking to the press about the fixture, he said:
“We now have the opportunity to play the unbeaten league leaders at home in our next game in two weeks.”
“Chelsea’s attacking force is surprising everybody and we understand the movement they have in behind http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-c13609 will cause problems. It will be a difficult came but we hope to profit from the fact that we are playing at home and playing well.”

“Chelsea are in extremely good form. Both managers will have to look at the recovery period to put out a fresh team.”
Chelsea are currently unbeaten in the league, and sit at the top with 19 points from 7 games. Villas-Boas knows that a victory will not be an easy task as he prepares his side against the European Champions.
