Tottenham Hotspur earned a historic and special win against Manchester United this past weekend as they fought through to win 2-3 at Old Trafford.
Manager Andre Villas-Boas was left a delighted and relieved man after he picked up his third consecutive win in the Premier League. The manager, who had been the subject of much criticism and scrutiny, looks to be finally settling in at his role at White
Hart Lane.

Villas-Boas had been confident of a result against Manchester United, but perhaps even he did not expect a victory in such dramatic and thrilling circumstances.

The hosts were however not able to add to their tally, as Clint Dempsey restored the lead and helped Tottenham cruise to all three points. Speaking to the press after the game, the American international praised his manager and his teammates.
"Andre is a cool guy who is really easy to talk to," said match winner Clint Dempsey.
"He wants to win and be successful and his attention to detail, from the management to the physios is just first class. Hopefully we can do some special things."
This marks Villas-Boas’ fourth consecutive domestic win (including the Caring Cup win against Carlisle City), and is sure to relieve most of the pressure that had been placed on his shoulders after Tottenham made a poor start to the campaign.
Villas-Boas hailed his players and praised their inspired and determined performance.
"They felt inspired all week that they could do something at Old Trafford," he said. “It came down to the talent they have and the authority and confidence they feel.”
"The way we played in the first half was unbelievable."
Tottenham are currently 5th in the league, with 11 points from 6 games. Considering their start to the season,Villas-Boas will be pleased with his team's position before this week's European fixtures.
