Tottenham Hotspur manager has praised the character of Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko after the Bosnian scored the winner for the champions last night.
Tottenham had taken the lead in the first half through Steven Caulker, and had been impressive in the first half as they looked for their second win in Manchester this season.
Spurs had previously beaten Manchester United at Old Trafford back in September in a historic and significant game. This was the first time since 1989 that Tottenham had beaten the Red Devils at their own turf.
Manager Andre Villas-Boas had now set his sights on getting an away victory against the reigning English champions, and with Tottenham’s impressive away form, the Portuguese was confident of all three points.
City had failed to impose themselves on the hosts for most of the first half, and Tottenham defended well and kept City at bay. The visitors took the lead in the first half, and City spend the remainder of the match chasing the game.

“To have a player so strong of character like Dzeko to come on again in the final minutes when the team needs him and to respond like that is something that, for me, deserves credit. He continues to surprise me.”
