Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas insists that his unbeaten season with Porto was a much bigger achievement than Chelsea’s Champions League win.
The Portuguese manager has risked the wrath of Chelsea and its supporters ahead of today’s London derby at White Hart Lane. Villas-Boas will come against his former club for the first time since he was sacked earlier this year.
The manager argued that his unbeaten run with Porto was more difficult than Chelsea’s Champions League victory.
Chelsea had gone on to win the elite European trophy after Villas-Boas was sacked. They also won the FA Cup, despite having a poor record in the Premier League, finishing at 6th spot.
Their trophy comeback was however phenomenal, and despite being very ordinary for the greater part of the season, they still went on to win two trophies, much to the delight of the ‘millions’ of Chelsea supporters throughout the world.

treble of trophies in the 2010/2011 season. This impressive feat included a 30-game unbeaten run in the Portuguese Liga.
The manager spoke about his previous achievements and compared them with Chelsea’s European exploits. When asked whether it was more difficult to win the Champions League or go a season unbeaten, he answered:
"Remaining unbeaten in the league. Going through it unbeaten is extremely difficult. The achievement that Arsenal did was remarkable and outstanding and probably won't be repeated in the modern game as it happened in Porto with me. There were games where
we lived on the limit and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 did the same."
Many are labelling the clash today as a personal vendetta against Chelsea, but Villas-Boas insists that he holds no grudges against Chelsea, and that it will be more of a team ‘revenge’ rather than a personal one.
"This is certainly not a personal matter," Villas Boas added. "It is not a quest of an individual; it is a quest of a team, where we want to finish at the end of the season.”
