Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas is delighted by the return of midfielder Scott Parker, and has hailed the player’s battling qualities and work ethic.
The midfielder made a cameo appearance in the 1-0 win over Swansea City on Sunday night as he made his return from a long term Achilles injury. Parker had suffered the injury during Spurs’ pre-season tour of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/United-States-c3034, and had not been able to play
a single competitive game the whole season.
Sunday marked the player’s first appearance of the season, though it was merely a short cameo. Manager Andre Villas-Boas has admitted that he will handle the player’s return slowly and carefully, and will ease him back into first team action gradually.
Scott Parker was the steel and power in Spurs’ midfield last season, and had become an ever important player under former manager Harry Redknapp. The player’s performances for Tottenham led to a regular place in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 national team, and he quickly
became a sought after player in the league.
Villas-Boas is delighted to have the player back in the team, and hailed his battling qualities and work ethic. He also dismissed the notion that Parker will struggle to get back into the first team, which already features Sandro and summer signing Moussa

“Parker will start regularly in our team. Like everyone else, he will have to compete for his place, but we recognize the importance of the player and rate him very highly. He offers us more possibilities, as well as experience and leadership.”
