The manager takes his team to Rome to face http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 and Spurs need a victory to guarantee qualification for the knock-out stages of the competition.

Tottenham Hotspur were at the receiving end of a 5-2 thrashing courtesy of Arsenal. Adding insult to injury, Spurs saw http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santi-Cazorla-c32505. The team will be without the striker’s services for the next
3 domestic games.
Speaking in his pre-match conference, Villas-Boas said:
“It’s all about this game. It will be important for us to win and qualify. It will give us the squad an important feeling of beating a great team away from home.”
The club had been held to a 0-0 draw at home in the reverse fixture of the game which had taken place at White Hart Lane. Lazio currently sit on top of the group, and Tottenham need a victory tonight to ensure they can move up to second spot.
The first game had its moments of controversy as the travelling Lazio supporters had been accused of racist chants and behaviour. The club has since been fined £32,500 by UEFA, and Villas-Boas agrees with the decision. He added:
“UEFA decided to punish Lazio and rightly so. It doesn’t mean that incidents won’t happen again. I think the players are in the right frame of mind to leave the authorities to deal with those situations in case it happens. That’s something that hopefully
will not happen tomorrow.”
Moussa Dembele returns to the squad following his injury spell on the sidelines. The player has missed most of Tottenham’s last few games on account of his hip injury, and has been a major loss for the team. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Younes-Kaboul-c37543, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Scott Parker
are still not in contention and may not return until next year.
