  1. First & foremost, its WiMax & not Vimax

No it is not yet available in India yet but will be in Start to Mid 2008 as the works for the same have started in cities like Pune, Chandigarh, Bangalore & Ahmedabad

  2. babatunde

  3. Wimax is in bombay from reliance

  4. wimax is in india those who want wimax connection in mumbai and pune can call me on9321538139 or mail me reliance_wimax2000@yahoo.com or visit reliancewimax.sosblog.com

  5. www.indiatourism.com

  6. Vimax is one pill for pen_is enlargement (so called !!) and not available in India.

And if you mean WiMAX, the Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access then it is available in all the metros from Dishnet and TATA also on the way to launch their WIMAX service.

  7. With a reported target of 40 cities and 300 towns, Tata Communications has major plans for the expansion of its WiMAX services in India. This three-year plan comes at an investment of 500 million dollars.

The company, which is coming in a big way with its Wimax business--both for retail and enterprise customers-- will start rolling out the expanded service in all the metros this year. While retail service would be extended in 40 cities, the company would go for catering to enterprise customers in 300 towns. In keeping with its business commitment to retail customers, the company would set up up 2,000 more sales centres across the country this year itself in addition to the existing 700. The company has expanded its Virtual Private Network (VPN) services to China, in a bid to offer additional reach to its international and Indian customers, by entering into an agreement with China Enterprise Netcom Corporation Ltd (China Entercom), a value-added telecommunication services and integrated IT solutions provider.

Tata isn't the only operator with WiMax plans in India. Some have described the market as being poised for a WiMax "big bang" as operators prefer to build out significant portions of their networks before making formal launch announcements. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) recently unveiled plans to spend $750 million on WiMax. Meantime, Reliance Communications Ltd. (RCom) , another Telsima customer, is also planning to deploy WiMax.
