could he be having split personalities or he had been discriminated before to a level he had to burst it on the poor guy,Tim Mclean?Well some people might say he should deserve to f**kin die the same way,but when I heard when Li's boss addressed him as a nice guy, could he been having split personalities that the "devil side " manipulated him and caused him to perform such a horrifying murder to an innocent young man?(im not protecting him cuz I think he should be executed too but just like to hear some thoughts on it)

  1. Personally, I believe so.  I believe he may be suffering from Schizophrenia.  In a local newspaper today, a psychiatrist stated that since he didn't know the victim, and because he acted 'robotically' as the witnesses described... these were some classic signs, although he'd need to be properly diagnosed.

We know little about the guy... Just because his 'boss' said he was quiet and pleasant proves nothing.  He could have been off his meds, we really don't know.

The doctor in the newspaper article also stated that it could have been 'anything' that triggered him, from hearing voices, to hearing bad sounds coming from the guy's headphones.

It stated he was married, but we haven't heard from his family yet.

I live in Canada too, but I'm still against the death penalty.

One way or another, facts will come out.  Even the judge handling the case won't look at him until they assess him, and he's been charged with 2nd degree murder because there was apparently no motive or intent.

I'm also scared to think that if some person, ill or not, was to come after ME that on that day, nobody would have stopped him.

Cheers - May the victim be at peace.

  2. There is absolutely no way to know until he undergoes thorough psychiatric evaluations.

Obviously he's ****** up.... but at this point in time, there's not nearly enough knowledge about the guy to speculate.

  3. There's any number of organic brain problems that could have caused this. Tumour, history of head injuries, meningitis, tertiary syphilis, psychosis, fugue states, and yes, MPD, though that seems unlikely. I mean, the brain is a complex and delicate thing, a lot can go wrong with it. The fact that he appears to have brought the knife doesn't rule out brain damage of some sort. The attack appears to have been manic and senseless, which certainly argues he was in a delusional state.

I'm sure he will be carefully examined by mental health specialists. Will be interesting to learn more.

  4. Schizophrenia, Is the only reasonable explanation I can think of. BUT those people with such disorders snap out of the blue... this guy had thought and planned out the whole murder! why else would he have brought a butcher knife on a bus???
