The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nigeria-c2970 international has completed a loan move to the Israeli club after failing to cement a place in Lille’s starting eleven
The 29-year-old has expressed his delight following the completion of his loan move and is looking forward to returning to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Israel-c2925.
Enyeama played for Maccabi’s arch-rivals, Hapoel Tel Aviv, before joining Les Dogues last summer. And his potential move to the Israeli club was delayed because of a hate campaign against him by the Hapoel fans.
Hapoel fans accused him of betraying the club by signing for their arch-rivals and some even claimed that the Nigerian promised never to play for Maccabi, even for a million Dollars.
However, Enyeama denied making such claims and stated that his words were taken out of context and it was all a big mix-up. The shot-stopper added that everything has settled now and he is looking forward to returning to Israel.
"There was a mix-up somewhere about what they thought I had said back then but all that is cleared up now.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincent-Enyeama-c36182 stated that past few months were hard on him, with the uncertainty regarding his future and the threats he and his family received from the fans of Hapoel Tel Aviv.
The Nigerian, who has 65 national caps to his name, stressed that he is fully focused on playing football and his main objective is to help his side achieve success this season.
While talking to reporters, the former Enyimba player stated that he is relishing the prospect of playing for one of the best clubs in Israel and is eagerly looking forward to the 2012/2013 campaign.
"I am extremely focused on playing football and help the team achieve success. Whatever challenges out there I am grown enough to fight on.”
The Nigeria international conceded that he wanted regular football and with Lille, it was not possible. Enyeama said that playing as a second-choice goalkeeper at this stage of his career is not what he wants.
"I came back to Israel for regular football, which is hugely important for my career."
Vincent Enyeama has enjoyed a successful time in Israel, winning the Israeli league with Hapoel Tel Aviv in 2010 and the Israeli cup, in 2010 and 2011.
