The LOSC Lille goalkeeper initially said that he wants to leave the club but has now said that he never explicitly said that he wanted to go somewhere else this summer
More or less, everything has been said about the role of Nigerian international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincent-Enyeama-c36182 at Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille. The 29-year-old joined the reigning French champions last summer from Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Since his arrival at the northern club, the Nigerian has basically warmed the bench and has been used sporadically by coach Rudi Garcia.
Last week, French media claimed that the player is discontented by the lot and asked the club’s management to let him go this summer when the transfer window resumes.
However, a new twist has been added to this saga. While talking to Nord Eclair, the player said that he never asked for a transfer and added that since he signed for Les Dogues, he has not made contact with any club.
“I never asked for a transfer. I do not know where it came from. Since I signed at Lille, I had no meeting with the club.”
It was L’Equipe that reported this news and Enyeama says that it was shocking to see how things have been blown out of proportions by the newspaper which is supposed to be one of the best in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 when it comes to sports news.
Enyeama then moved on towards his contract. The Nigerian says that he is on a four-year contract and will leave only if the club decided to sell him.
“I have a four-year contract, this is not the issue. If the club decides to sell me, I will not fight, it’s not my habit.”
While talking about his time at Lille, Enyeama said that he met some really good people at the club and revealed that even if it is boring, he has to adapt to the situation.
“I met great people at Lille which is a good club. I have no responsibilities, it’s boring. But in life, you have to make do with what you are offered. You have to adapt. One day you’re smiling and the next day you read in a newspaper that you requested
a transfer.”
