Manchester City captain and Belgian international, Vincent Kompany is looking to bounce back from the loss against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, as his side look to beat Arsenal this coming Sunday.
Going into the game against Manchester City were unbeaten in the League and seemed to be unstoppable.
Despite taking the lead in just the 2nd minute in the game, City went on to lose the game by two goals to one, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 scored a penalty in the last ten minutes of the game.
As a result, the Blue side of Manchester is now sitting just two points about Manchester United and can potentially head into their game against Arsenal in second place.
Kompany, has already gone on to admit that the team is looking forward for Sunday, as they look to put their defeat in their past.
“Monday has made us feel more hungry”
“We want Sunday to come as quickly as possible and to play football again. That is the kind of team we are.
“In those kinds of moments we react and we are eager to do it on Sunday."
The defender then stated that his side could potentially win the game. However, he admitted that him along with the rest of his team was not looking to be arrogant, but City had the potential and the capabilities to go on and pick up all three points
from the game.
“There is no reason for us to be arrogant about this fixture. Arsenal are a great team. But we can beat great teams. I consider them as a top team, who will make a top game of it. But we are a difficult team to beat at home.”
The Belgian international then went on to admit that City had always looked like the better team in games against the top sides in the League and this time around, there would be no difference.
“In the big games, even when we didn’t win, we still looked like the team that was most likely to win the game.”
It is now a wait to see just how the two teams perform this coming Sunday.
