The former Catania head coach has gone on to state that he is grateful to the management of the club for not letting go of the talented Montenegrin international.

holders.
Andrea Della Valle, president of the Viola outfit, persuaded the young star from moving to the Turin outfit, and reasoned with him the rationale behind staying at the Gigliati outfit. There was also interest from Manchester City, however, the player intended
on staying back at the club, and despite rumoured bids in excess of 30 million Euros, Fiorentina fought the urge to sell their prized asset.
And the club have benefited from keeping hold of their Montenegrin star and he has gone on to score crucial goals for the club in their opening matches.
Montella has praised the management as well as heaping plaudits on his star striker, and commented:
“Jovetic is an extraordinary player. He’s also a really ambitious player. I personally welcomed the decision of the club to keep him here with us.”
