Vineet Kambale tames Ankit Damle in Boy’s Singles U19 round-of-16 at Amanora Cup
India’s upcoming player Vineet Kambale made his presence strongly felt when he played terrific badminton and outplayed his un-seeded challenger Ankit Damle in Boy’s Singles U17 round-of-16 at Amanora Cup 2012 in India, on Friday, December 28.
The in-form Vineet Kambale, who was the seventh seed in the main draw of the championship, displayed a staggering performance on court and took just 11 minutes to give a punishing treatment to his opponent.
Vineet was in smashing form as he easily placed his shots in all areas of the court and remained successful in claiming a comprehensive victory in straight sets with a dominating margin on the board.
On the other hand, the lower ranked Ankit tried to play competitive badminton but failed to match the class of his higher ranked compatriot and eventually crashed out in a lopsided fashion.
The incredible speed and powerful shots of Vineet helped him to take control of the pace from the initial points of opening game.
Vineet was quite quick in taking the bird timely and he did not encounter any problem in hitting his strokes in targeted areas.
Vineet was in dictating position all the way to establish a remarkable lead until the end of first part.
Ankit tried his best to play positive badminton but could not take control of the game and remained struggling in the concluding half.
Vineet remained consistent in employing powerful shots in targeted areas and eventually took the first set with a sound score of 15-7.
In the second game, the in-form Vineet did not lose his superiority at any stage in the starting half of second set as he played with control and precision.
Vineet displayed his unmatched skills in the arena by picking the bird timely from all areas and kept his domination over his challenger.
In the second half of second game, the lofty Vineet continued his smooth ride and easily bagged the game with a superb difference of 15-6.
The aggressive Vineet remained successful in finishing up this Boy’s Singles pre-quarter-final clash in straight games by restricting his lower ranked opponent to a 15-7 and 15-6 total on the board.
