I want to switch to completely cleaning with water and vinegar to help detoxify my house. What is the ratio for the following cleaning and do you have any other suggestions for natural cleaning?

Tile floors, hardwood floors, bathroom surfaces, kitchen surfaces, mirrors, glass, etc.

Thanks!

  1. I can't stomach the stand of vinegar straight up, but I think if you do a 3 to 1 ratio you will still have enough power from the vinegar. You probably want to use more water than vinegar for cleaning your floors. 1 Cup of Vinegar per gallon of water sounds about right. Good luck on becoming green!

  2. Vinegar is already a dilute solution of acetic acid and water.  Commonly it is 95% water already, so the more water you add the weaker it gets.  I'd use it straight up.
