Vintage Star likely to prevail in 3663 Inspired By You Novices´ Handicap Hurdle
Vintage Star is expected to win the 3663 Inspired By You Novices´ Handicap Hurdle at Ayr in England on Friday, April 20, 2012. The triumphant horse will be awarded a cash prize of £5,198.
The going will be good in the 3 mile 110 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 15:25 GMT, and 10 quality runners will be seen in action. Their names are as follows: Likeable Rogue, Vintage Star, Nodform Richard, Bar De Ligne, Malin Bay, Rudemeister,Seven
Is Lucky, Fill The Power, Scotswell and What A Steel.
The bookies believe that Vintage Star will be able to walk away with a comfortable victory in the race, as he is a quality performer. He is in good form, thus the punters will also be placing a lot of bets in his favour.
However, the six-year-old gelding does not have an impressive strike rate, as he managed to win just a couple of hurdles out of seven attempts. He also finished runner up once and secured the third spot on a couple of occasions, which shows that he has the
ability to challenge his rivals consistently.
Importantly, the Sue Smith’s trainee has been performing well recently, as he finished third last time he raced. He was up against some very good runners, but still managed to give them a hard time.
Vintage Star will be partnered by Barry Geraghty, who has won 135 races over hurdles at an impressive strike rate.
On the other hand, Likeable Rogue has also got a great chance of bringing up his maiden victory over hurdles. He does not have a lot of experience, but is quite capable of becoming one of the best in the business.
The six-year-old gelding has participated in a couple of hurdles, finishing runner up in both of them. He made his debut last year and has been performing consistently since then. He will definitely attract some bets in his favour today.
The Paul Nicholls’ trained runner will be ridden by Ruby Walsh, who is a tremendous rider and has won 156 races over hurdles. He has got an impressive strike rate because of his consistency in the sport.
Nodform Richard and Bar De Ligne might also manage to attract a few bets in their favour, as they are decent runners.
