Pella windows have lots of options-wood windows are an  option-vinyl or fiberglass composite with low E glass would be my choice-  They have a website with a step by step product selector that is awesome.

vinyl clad wood is the best of both worlds in my opinion

the exterior vinyl gives you less maintenance worries and the interior wood is easy to match with your decor by painting or staining

all major mfgr's. that I am aware of offer this type of window

as far as trendy goes, I am still seeing arch tops, and simulated multi pane styles here on the US east coast
